Indonesia is very large country. Indonesia has a lot of beautiful culture and place. Life in Indonesia is very unique because here in Indonesia we life in heterogeneity. So much diversity in Indonesia. With about 17.000 island and 700 languages. You will find different sensation in every place you visit in Indonesia.

Now i would like to share top 10 most beautiful city in Indonesia. Based on my experienced and based on my opinion. Of course everyone have it own opinion about this topic. But at least this list would help you up to considered to visit if you wish to come here.

1.       Yogyakarta

When the first time i went to Yogyakarta i was so surprised with the town. Yogyakarta is located in south of Java. Yogyakarta itself is a special region in Indonesia. It mean, yogyakarta is a city and province which is the only one Province in Indonesia that the local goverment is a King. Despite Indonesia is republic country. But no gobernor election in Yogyakarta.

What i surprised about yogyakarta is the city very unique compare to any other Indonesian city. Culture is still the dominant thing in Yogyakarta. You can always find a oldman with bycicle using white shirt and white hat cross the street. Which is something you can’t saw in any other city in Indonesia.

Modernism is only give a few effect to the city. I can say that Yogyakarta is the real Indonesia. 50% culture and 50% modernism. Very beautiful.

Something that also very interesting about Yogyakarta is you can also visit historical object such as Prambanan and you can also go to the "Candi Borobudur" Borobudur Temple which is the ancient building that built around 9th century.

If you visit Yogyakarta don’t forget to try local food “Nasi Kucing” with “Teh manis”.

2.       Ubud

Ubud is city in most famous island in the world, Bali. Ubud has beautiful view and culture. If you come to Bali you have to visit this beautiful place.

As tourism region, Ubud manage their city very well. A lot of beautiful hotel in Ubud that will make your vacation perfect.

3.       Bandung

This beautiful city is also known as Paris Van Java or Kota Kembang (flower city). Bandung is the third most largest city in Indonesia with population almost 8,3 miliion. Bandung is capital city if West Java Province.

4.       Batam

Batam is a city island in Riau Archipelago Province. Batam is one of industrial city in Indonesia. What make Batam very special is you can easily find Beautiful beach around this Island.

Batam is only 45 minutes from Singapore. Every Singaporean known very well about Batam. Because almost at weekend Singaporean will visit Batam and Batamese wil visit Singapore.

5.       Palembang

Palembang is one of big city in Sumatera. Palembang also one of oldest city in Indonesia. History said Palembang already founded since era of Sriwijaya Kingdom.

What make Palembang very special is the local culture (Melayu) and the way people live here. River is important part of Palembang. Musi river is the life of Palembang.

Manado is located in North Sulawesi. Manado is one of famous tourism city in Indonesia. if you love to diving on beautiful sea park. Don’t hesitate to come to Manado. They have “Bunaken National Park” which already has very good reputation in the world.
